Bobcat  -  Serval -  Caracal

Good science and common sense dictate that there should be many  feline refuges widely dispersed with the highest possible ratio of caregivers to animals.  At  the N.O.A.H. Feline Conservation Center we bred five species of small feline.

Felis serval, bright gold with beautiful black spots, this 30 pound feline is native to Africa. Servals use their acute hearing to locate small rodents in the tall grasslands.  This flashy, mid-sized feline is often featured as an ambassador species in conservation education programs. They are also one of the most commonly kept wild cat species for companion animal purposes.

Lynx rufus - the bobcat, is thirty pounds of strength and courage.  Our southern sub-species are brightly spotted and rosetted.  Our breeding group contains several bloodlines. Pictured below is Sierra, one of our bobcat offspring, resting with Jasmine geoffroy and our black domestic cat Speedo.

Felis  caracal, the Caracal lynx is a medium sized cat from Africa. These cats are excellent hunters that prey upon small antelope or catch birds in flight.
Caracals are extremely swift. Our breeding trio were imported from Africa as kittens and represent completely new bloodlines in the US, as their parents were wild caught.
